My video STEADY SMILE MOVE is currently to be seen as part of the exhibition „Perspektivwechsel – Fotografinnen in Düsseldorf“ at the Stadtmuseum Düsseldorf.

The video is about the very opulent interor design of the legendary three houses on Rethelstraße that today do not exist any more. When in 2016 I heard that the buildings were to be demolished, I thought that it would be imprtant to document them as they were an important part of the cultural history of Düsseldorf. But I did not imagine this amount of imagination and creativity the interior design it was based on! Soon I got totally absorbed by all the details, the colours and the materials I found in the different rooms and was told that the whole decoration had been created by Bert Wollersheim.

In 2028 Thomas Frank wrote a very elegant text about my film that was published in the Westdeutsche Zeitung: Warum das Düsseldorfer Edel-Bordell von Bert Wollersheim auch als Kunst funktioniert (Link).
